On behalf of all the teachers, I would like to suggest that all teachers will get a substantial amount of money (allowance) every month to cover the expenses they spend regularly for resources and other materials which the school does not provide due to insufficient funds. Thank you

Same applies for LSAs especially the ones in independent and church schools, we do not get any funds for resources or anything and we end up spending hundreds of euros from our pockets in order to do our job well.
We as teachers, spend more than half the pay to produce resources, for rewards, we buy lunch and water for kids without any, we provide bandages, creams to care for their small daily needs.....a never ending list...we do all this because we work with humans and we do it from the bottom of our hearts.
I believe that a pleasant stimulating environment, with hands on resources, helps our children learn better, but to do so i spend A LOT of my money for resources and materials. I do it because i love my job and the boys entrusted to me but an allowance would definitely help me be more creative and would help ease the financial burden all this brings with it.
Schools often do not have the budget to provide us with resources. Also we often choose to pay for things ourselves as we need resources for our lessons and all the heart ache and red tape to get them would leave us empty handed anyway. No other professional has to buy the basic needs just to do his or her job.
