Why not rethinking the mature student age in University? I used to study Social Sciences and was unable to apply to University at my age because I did not obtain my Maths O'Level and therefore I need to wait till I'm 23 to apply for the course I want. I have tried to do my best to getting in before but unfortunately I am still at a stand still. I am 20 years old and am not ready to wait three years till I can get my Masters in the area of study I want just so I can leave school at the age of 28.
It would most likely encourage people like me to continue their studies and not give up just because they were told they couldn't because of one exam etc. Some people are good at certain subjects, others aren't, we shouldn't stop people from achieving their dreams just because of a backwards admissions system.
