The green NGO Transport & Environment last year crowned Belgium as the EU country with the highest company car subsidies..." (Politico, 2021) While Belgium did approve a plan to tackle this, it only comes into terms as of 2026, and it allows for the full tax deductibility of zero-emission cars instead of promoting public transport or cycling. People should be discouraged from using cars daily and offered better alternatives.
