City dwellers inhale considerable amounts of microplastics (see e.g. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/dec/27/revealed-microplastic-pollution-is-raining-down-on-city-dwellers ), in particular in longer periods without rain. More frequent street cleaning is needed to reduce this source of air (and water) pollution. Also, efforts have to be stepped up to avoid that plastic waste, including debris from vehicles, ends up on streets in the first place.
